Tell Them -
Words and Music By David Litvinsky
Copyright 2008

Why is the World spinning upside down
Why is it me who's always wrong
Maybe I can sing a lullabye
Close my eyes and say goodnight

Maybe I can write a letter to the government
And tell them what's on my mind
Or maybe I can climb the monument
I'd look on down
I'd look on down at you

Meanwhile I'll just be another soul
Just another number on your wall
Killing me is your evolution
Just another formula for your solution

Maybe you can write a letter to the government
And tell them what's on your mind
Or maybe you can climb the monument
You'd look on down
You'd look on down at them

Maybe in a year or two
You'll figure out exactly what you need to do
But as for me I'll be long gone
I'm sure you'll have another with a smile

Maybe we can write a letter to the government
And tell them what's on our mind
Or maybe we can climb the monument
We'd look on down
You'd look on down at you
We'd look on down
You'd look on down at you

David- Once again, I'm extremely impressed. This is my favorite work of yours. It's one thing to write/sing about love gained or lost. Although somewhat similar, this is of course a different animal, an emotion that many of us unfortunately seem to put to sleep for it's something we do not see or comprehend, or desire to, here at home. Therefore, it's no easy task to touch people on the topic via music unless it's coming from the decided mainstream, if you will. You accomplish this nonetheless. I think Neil Young would truly appreciate this work. It's where I feel music is making it's return toward. There's such a thin line between one who understands a message and one that is sincere about it. Although both have it's place in music and song, it's ultimately sincerity that makes for good music. Well done.
